ASL, or American Sign Language, is a complete visual-gestural language used by Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities in North America, featuring unique grammar and syntax distinct from English, expressed through handshapes, movement, placement, and facial expressions, and while learning basic signs and phrases is achievable, true fluency often takes years, with resources ranging from online courses to local classes available for learners.

Disability Network Wayne County Detroit, partners with Gleaners Food Bank to distributes free, nutritious food to seniors and people with disabilities. We giveaway food across Detroit, Wayne County like fresh produce, lean proteins, dairy, and pantry staples to neighbors facing hunger.
